Care Guide Editorial Standards and Review Process

Effective and last reviewed: August 10, 2026

From The Heart Home Care, LLC publishes care guides to help South Carolina families understand non-medical in-home care, public-program terminology, care planning, and questions to discuss with qualified professionals. This page explains how those guides are prepared and reviewed.

Who prepares our guides?

Guides are prepared by the From The Heart Home Care, LLC Care Coordination Team using the agency’s operational experience with non-medical home-care intake, scheduling, caregiver matching, family communication, and service planning.

Who reviews our guides?

From The Heart Home Care, LLC performs an editorial and scope review before publication and during material updates. The review checks that the page:

  • clearly distinguishes non-medical home care from skilled home health, nursing, therapy, medical diagnosis, and treatment;
  • uses the current office addresses and telephone numbers published on our Contact Us page;
  • does not promise eligibility, coverage, staffing, outcomes, or start dates that require an individual assessment;
  • links material government-program, licensing, Medicare, and health-information claims to authoritative sources; and
  • shows a visible updated date when a material review is completed.

Medical and legal review

Unless a page names a qualified individual reviewer and states the review date, it has not been independently reviewed by a physician, nurse, attorney, or benefits counselor. Our content is general educational information, not medical, legal, insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, or financial advice. Families should confirm clinical decisions with licensed health professionals and program eligibility or coverage with the responsible agency or payer.

Source standards

For changing or high-impact facts, we prioritize first-party and public sources such as Medicare, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the National Institute on Aging, the Administration for Community Living, the South Carolina Department of Public Health, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs/OIDD.

Corrections and updates

We review a guide when an official source changes, a program or office detail changes, or the page’s scope needs clarification. If you notice an issue, please contact the nearest office so the team can verify and correct it.

About the authoring team

The Care Coordination Team byline represents From The Heart Home Care, LLC as an organization. It does not imply that every guide has been clinically reviewed. Individual clinical reviewers will be named only when their identity, credentials, permission, and review date have been verified.
